Innovators of Change

Change is a sustainable process…

because change happens inevitably.

But how well, how fast, how successfully, and to what extent change is sustainable can vary, especially in organizations.  However, the “quality” and “quantity”, can be influenced, directed, and implemented.

The world’s first manual on sustainable change was the I-Ching (Chinese Book of Changes), which was compiled from earlier sources by Confucian philosophers over 2500 years ago.  Since then, much theory and academic thinking, behavioral psychology, and organizational development have been written about change, which provides us with a framework for understanding.

However…how do you manage this?

A Cookbook and a Toolkit…

Most people responsible for, assigned to, or just wanting to, make great change know the “what” of change – its context.  But they need the “how”.  They want a “cookbook, and they want a “toolkit”.

The “context” of most organizational change may vary, be it implementing information systems, re-engineering business processes, or re-aligning your business or organizational structures.

But it all shares a common “framework”, that of people, process, and technology.  And it is this “framework” that defines the “change matrix”, the set of tools and methods that you use to influence, direct, and implement change.

A Change Management Practitioner…

Steve Kotsines has made a practice of assembling the tools and methods to influence, direct, and implement organizational change.

This is the cookbook and the toolkit that makes change management “a contributor” rather than “a concern” to unlock the Protean capacity of organizations.
