In most businesses the context of change is defined by strategic initiatives such as implementing enterprise-wide information systems, re-engineering business processes, or re-aligning business or organizational structures. Change Management invests in the human capital that delivers business results. Most strategic change initiatives fail, not because they are unfeasible or technically unsound, but because of people and human psychology.
As a change consultant, Steve uses a practical, executable methodology that defines, measures, influences, directs, and delivers the client’s change initiative in whatever its form. This includes:
· Engaging and coaching the business leadership and management teams to effectively sponsor, support, and implement the program · Ensuring that the business’s organizational structures, jobs/roles, and business processes are aligned to deliver the change · Designing and executing a communication strategy that informs, creates dialog, and builds consensus and support throughout the organization. · Defining and executing a training program that ensures that the appropriate skills and knowledge exist to support the change · Creating measurable goals and metrics that identify and capture the values or revenues associated with the change · Planning the tactical implementation of the change program through detailed plans
Over the past 16 years Steve has managed several change implementation projects, including management of both small and large teams that developed, coordinated, and delivered the change implementation program. |

Several of Steve’s projects specifically involved the implementation of technology driven change, specifically SAP information systems. These have been complex, multi-year projects that impacted major functional areas of the business, as well as large numbers of end users. As a consequence, Steve is experienced in the information system project management methodology used to install such systems. |

Further, Steve has significant hands-on experience interfacing between non-technical and technical audiences. |

Steve typically reports directly to the business leadership and management who are ultimately responsible for executing the change initiative (Human Resources, Organization Development, Information Systems), including matrixed reporting relationships to multiple business sponsors since change initiatives frequently involve multiple organizational areas. |
